About Zia
Hi! I’m a guitar tutor with 11 years of experience, specializing in beginner and early childhood guitar education. I hold a Bachelor of Contemporary Music with a Guitar Major, and I love sharing my passion for music with young learners. My lessons are playful, engaging, and designed to make learning fun. I use games, stories, and rhythm activities to teach foundational skills in a way that feels exciting and interactive. Patience and encouragement are at the heart of my teaching style. Every student is supported to progress at their own pace, building confidence along the way. I focus on creating a strong musical foundation, helping students develop finger strength, timing, and basic techniques that last a lifetime. Lessons are designed to nurture creativity, expression, and a love for music. I celebrate each milestone, no matter how small, and make learning a joyful experience. Starting guitar should feel fun and inspiring, not intimidating. My goal is to help every child discover their potential, enjoy the process, and feel proud of their progress. I warmly invite young learners to begin their guitar journey and explore the endless joy of music!

My approach to teaching guitar focuses on developing both skill and creativity. I combine technical exercises with practical playing so students gain strong foundations while enjoying the music. Lessons cover various genres, from blues and jazz to classical and acoustic, helping students explore different styles.
I emphasize creativity and personal expression, encouraging students to experiment with melodies and rhythms. Technical skills such as finger techniques, chord transitions, and timing are built progressively. Students also learn improvisation and songwriting to make music their own.
I tailor lessons to each student’s level, from beginner to advanced, ensuring they are challenged yet supported. Exercises, jams, and guided practice sessions make learning practical and fun. I focus on building confidence and a love for playing, not just memorization.
Through consistent guidance and encouragement, students improve both skill and musical understanding. I help them develop their unique style while mastering essential techniques. My goal is to make every student feel capable, inspired, and ready to perform.
