About Quinton
When I was gifted my first acoustic guitar, I was both excited and intimidated. Coming from a family of pianists, I was determined to be the first to learn guitar. I practiced every day for hours, quickly discovering what worked best for me. I found beginner-friendly songs that kept me motivated, and with each new song, my skills grew. Soon after, I bought my first electric guitar, and that’s when the real fun began.
Still to this day, I’m learning new things about the guitar, playing the songs I love, and even making my own. My goal is to help you achieve that same joy and progress on your musical journey.

Whether you're a beginner just picking up a guitar or have been playing for years, I’m here to help you improve. My teaching approach is hands-on, focused on achieving the best results. Each lesson starts with warm-up exercises, followed by technical skill development, and concludes with live practice so you can immediately apply what you’ve learned in real-time. We'll also select songs you want to learn and practice together because I believe that enjoying what you play is imperative to getting better.
Beyond guitar, I also play drums, saxophone, piano, and bass, which allows me to bring a broader musical perspective to our sessions. Lessons are available remotely or in-person in the Los Angeles area.
