About Daphne
I am a dedicated guitar tutor with nine years of experience teaching beginners and young learners. I hold a Bachelor of Contemporary Music with a Guitar Major, and I specialize in making early guitar education fun and engaging. My lessons are playful and interactive, using games, stories, and rhythm activities to capture children’s imagination. I focus on building strong foundational skills while ensuring every student enjoys the learning process.
Patience and encouragement are at the heart of my teaching. I guide students step by step, celebrating small achievements and helping them gain confidence in their abilities. Lessons are tailored to each child’s pace and interests, so learning feels natural and exciting. I introduce basic techniques, music theory, and rhythm in ways that are easy to understand and remember. My approach nurtures creativity and a love for music from the very first lesson.
I believe that early experiences with music lay the groundwork for lifelong musicianship. Every session is designed to inspire curiosity, self-expression, and a joyful connection with the guitar. I teach guitar in a way that is practical, enjoyable, and tailored to each student’s goals. Lessons cover all levels, from beginners to advanced players, focusing on classical, jazz, acoustic, electric, and bass styles. I emphasize using music as a tool for stress relief and emotional expression, helping students connect with their feelings through sound. Creative discovery is a key part of my approach, encouraging students to experiment, compose, and explore their own musical ideas.
Lessons are interactive and hands-on, with exercises designed to improve technique, rhythm, and musicality. I guide students in building confidence, not just in playing but in performing and sharing their music. Practice is structured but flexible, allowing learners to progress at their own pace. I integrate theory with practical playing so students understand the music they create.
Each session is supportive and motivating, helping students overcome challenges while celebrating progress. I focus on making learning enjoyable and meaningful, so guitar becomes more than just an instrument—it becomes a creative outlet. My aim is to help every student excel, find their musical voice, and enjoy the journey of learning guitar.
