About Octavia
I am a dedicated guitar tutor with over 12 years of experience teaching both in-person and online. I hold a degree in music performance, which gives me a strong foundation in both theory and practice. My teaching philosophy centers on helping students develop expressive playing and technical fluency, while tailoring lessons to each person’s unique goals. I believe that personalized instruction is key to making steady progress and keeping motivation high. Whether you’re a beginner just starting out or an advanced player aiming to refine your skills, I adapt my approach to suit your level and interests. My lessons include music theory, fretboard fluency, rhythmic precision, and creative exploration to build a well-rounded musical foundation. My teaching approach to guitar is simple and student-focused. I believe every learner has a unique musical path, so I tailor lessons to fit your style and goals. Whether you want to master classical techniques or explore rich jazz rhythms, I guide you to play with confidence and skill. Together, we build strong foundations in finger control, timing, and musical expression.
Beyond technique, I use music as a way to relieve stress and express emotions. Playing guitar can be a powerful tool to boost your mood and creativity. I encourage students to discover their own sound and tell their story through music. We work on building your confidence step by step, making sure you feel comfortable performing and sharing your progress.
I also introduce you to songwriting and improvisation to unlock creative discovery. My lessons are a mix of structured practice and fun challenges that keep you motivated. You will gain not only musical skills but also personal growth through learning guitar. My goal is to help you excel, whether you aim to play complex pieces or create your own music. Every session is a step forward on your musical journey.
