About Grace
I love tutoring! I have tutored Year 6 students in English for over a year now, and recently have also begun tutoring Year 11 students in English also. I am well equipped to tutor in History too, as I am a recent History graduate who is well acquainted with GCSE History exam boards, marking schemes, and topics (as I took it only a few years ago).
I have a passion for History and English. I've always loved History because I enjoy learning about the experiences of different people across different time periods. That's why I decided to study it at university, which deepened my passion and knowledge for the topic and resulted in my achievement of a 1st Class degree. I am very knowledgeable on history, and I take pride in making it as interesting as possible
English was always a favourite of mine in school also: I've always loved reading and writing, and I therefore understood both English Language and Literature very well at GCSE, achieving grade 9s. My interest in the topic furthered when I started tutoring Year 6 and Year 11 students- because of this, I received praise for making my sessions a "warm, positive learning environment" and making content "engaging and relevant". I've been told pupils are always "focused and curious" in my sessions.
Overall, I have lots of passion for both History and English, and I have a talent for expressing this positivity in my tutoring.

My sessions are for students of any age and level up to GCSE, as I am experienced in teaching a variation of age groups.
My tutoring sessions are relaxed, whilst also remaining productive- I employ a friendly teaching style which ensures content is made as engaging as possible. Each tutoring session with me is 1 hour long, with regular small breaks throughout (approx. five minutes), so that no one runs out of steam. I welcome conversation and games with students- as long as this is accompanied with good work!
