About Parvati
I am a Law Student at National Law University, Raipur. I started dancing when I was 3 years old, and continued professional training until the end of my high school. I received the Central Government scholarship in Bharatnatyam in 2013. I have won various state youth festivals and performed at over 30 venues. I am fluent in English, Malayalam, and Hindi.

My teaching method is focused on comprehensive explanations, and giving critical feedbacks. If you are a beginner, I would start with explaining the various 'Mudras' or hand-gestures, and the basic 'Adavu' or steps. Once you get a thorough understanding of that, I would go on to teach you the 'Alarippu' , the first dance every Bharatnatyam student learns. I will host daily or weekly video calls depending on your need, and will send video lessons for reference. Once the Alarippu is done, we can move into learning more tough routines. I strictly believe that dancing is a form of meditation, and helps you communicate with your body better. Age, gender, body type etc should never be a bar. Its never too late to start dancing!
