About Yousif
I am Yousif and would love to help you achieve what you would like to achieve in terms of your grades as well as your future plans. I am passionate about teaching because I believe success in GCSEs and A Levels is achieved by directing hard work in a guided and purposeful way. During Year 11 and Year 12, I learnt this myself through invaluable tutoring from older students at my school, which showed me how structured guidance can transform performance. Achieving top grades is possible for any student who combines effort with clear strategy. My aim is to help students channel their hard work effectively, build confidence, and develop strong exam technique.

I provide personalised A Level and GCSE Chemistry tutoring, focusing on high-yield topics and past paper practice to maximise exam performance and ensure students feel confident and prepared. Each 1-hour lesson is tailored to complement school teaching, helping to consolidate the curriculum while targeting weaker areas. For those wishing to go beyond the syllabus, I am happy to offer additional content to spark curiosity and deepen understanding, particularly for students considering Oxbridge/medical applications. What a Typical Lesson Looks Like (1 Hour) Recap (5 mins) – Quick check of what you’ve been covering in school and any questions from last time. Topic Focus (10 mins) – Clear explanation of a key concept, with notes and diagrams to make it stick. Active Practice (15 mins) – Work through examples together to strengthen understanding. Exam Practice (15 mins) – Tackle real past paper questions, break down mark schemes, and learn how to phrase answers for maximum marks. Consolidation (10 mins) – Summary of key takeaways, Q&A, and optional extension content (great for those interested in medicine/chemistry beyond the syllabus). Every lesson is flexible – we can also spend time going over exam papers or reviewing mock exam answers, depending on what you’d find most helpful.
