About Akhona
I am a 3rd year accounting student. I have been part of a mentoring program since 2015, mentoring grade 9 and 10 from different schools in Khayelitsha, about resilience and self-empowerment. The program is called Resilient Network founded by Professor Lullu Tshiwula at UWC.

I am one who always strives to achieve the best with others. I believe we can go far if we go together. So in my lessons, I always strive for two-way communication because I believe that we always have something to learn from each other. I tutor up to grade 10 level, learners who are full of enthusiasm and/or willingness to learn.

Akhona would be a good tutor because she helps me with my school work and she is a passionate and understanding person.
As an accountant student myself. I have received assistance from Akhona with accounting and other related subjects. She is very patient and good at explaining. I'm surprised she doesn't have any teaching qualifications. She is good with people.
I would highly recommend her as she was my classmate. She helped with a lot that I couldn't understand from the teacher. She was very honest with me and I understood her very well more than most of our teachers. She has studied further, I can guarantee she is on another level right now.
Akhona is a wonderful tutor, she has a good presentation and facilitating skills I highly recommend her.
