About Christine Mae
Hi! I’m a friendly and patient tutor with experience helping students learn Filipino. I enjoy making lessons easier to understand, especially when a topic feels confusing or difficult at first.
I use simple explanations, relatable examples, and fun activities while adjusting to each student’s pace and learning style. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning without pressure.
I mainly tutor elementary and Junior High School students in Filipino, including grammar, reading, writing, literature, assignments, and exam preparation.

Learn Filipino in a Simple, Fun, and Student-Friendly Way!
My teaching approach is patient, interactive, and personalized. I believe that students learn differently, so I adjust my explanations, activities, and pace depending on what each learner needs. Instead of simply asking students to memorize, I help them understand the lesson through relatable examples, discussions, guided exercises, reading activities, and practical applications.
What Does a Typical Lesson Look Like?
Each lesson can be adjusted to the student, but we usually begin with a quick review of previous topics. We then move on to the new lesson, where I explain the concepts step-by-step using simple examples. Afterward, we practice together through activities or exercises before ending with a short review or assessment to see what the student has learned.
I can also help students with homework, assignments, projects, reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, writing, Filipino literature, and exam preparation.
What Makes My Lessons Different?
As a Filipino education major and future teacher, I understand that learning can sometimes feel overwhelming—especially when a topic seems difficult at first. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes because mistakes are part of learning.
I am patient and approachable, and I’m willing to explain a concept in different ways until the student finds an explanation that works for them. My goal is not just to help students finish their homework, but to help them understand the lesson, gain confidence, and become more independent learners.
