I'm a 3rd year at the Royal Danish Academy of Music earning my bachelor’s degree for classical flute. I'm happy to teach piccolo and flute to beginning and intermediate level students.

About Micayla
Micayla Rawling has been studying flute and piccolo for 12 years starting lessons with Cari Shipp, and just graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy (Traverse City, Michigan) studying with Nancy Stagnitta in May of this year. She is continuing her studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, Denmark and is studying with internationally acclaimed Ulla Miilmann. She has put on her own concerts, been involved in pit orchestras (Seussical the musical, Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker, American in Paris), played in various youth orchestras, and attended Interlochen Arts Camp, Academy, Ithaca College's Summer Music Academy, and the Royal Danish Academy of Music on generous scholarships. You may have also seen her playing on the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville the past few years. Micayla hopes to one day play in a professional orchestra.

Perfect! I had a really good first lesson with Micayla. She is calm, patient, and explains things in a way that is easy to understand. I felt comfortable learning at my own pace and asking questions. I am looking forward to continuing with her.
