About Ian

My name is Ian Gorsen, and I a sophomore in a 7yr medical program through New Jersey Medical School and the College of New Jersey. I have received A's in all of my advanced math and science courses including 5's on both my AP chem and Calc exams as well as above 770's on both my SAT 2 math and chemistry. I have three years worth of tutoring experience, and have taught to all levels.

About the lesson

I am an active teacher and do not just lecture. Since my sessions over zoom, I have the student annotate and actively think the problems as I guide them. This allows me to hear out their thinking process and easily see where their problems lie. This has been extremely effective and helped many of my students in the past.

I know Ian from my brother, who was on the same high school wrestling team as him. My Mom looked around for math tutors when I was struggling with Calculus this year because learning from online school is difficult. Ian contacted her and offered to tutor me. He helped me by explaining and showing me the steps on how to do Calculus. I would not have received a good grade in that class if it was not for him.
