About Simon
I have a passion for acting training. It is so important to understand the craft of being a performer. When I was younger and starting to take an interest in acting, it was my teachers, lecturers and the director of my youth theatre that inspired me. Indeed, some of the things I was taught at 16 are still some of my core values as a performer today.
Charter work, script analysis, line structure, even human behaviour will be looked at and techniques to understand the work of an actor will be developed.

Easy to understand approach. The object of the lesson will be to inspire learning so it doesn't feel like work. I teach using a number of Stanislavskian and Uta Hagan techniques. Whether it's a monologue class or text analysis for course work, I will provide you with the tools to break it down as a performer or dramaturg.
I am drama school trained and I have worked in the profession for nearly 25 years. I have been Head of Acting at a performance academy and I have taught at degree and diploma levels.
Classes will be 60 minutes in length, but I can be flexible.
Classes are ideally aimed at ages 16+, but again exceptions can be made, particularly for LAMDA exam students.
