About Yamel
Born in Uruapan, Michoacán, she currently lives in Cholula, Puebla. Graduated in theater with honorable mention from UMSNH, teacher in human development from UCLA with honorable mention. Among his training stands out the Diploma in Body and Voice by Tarheni in Morelia, Michoacán, the specialty in theater pedagogy, the TIA method for training actors / actresses with Debora Astrosky and the theater training of the oppressed. She has participated in various productions as a producer actress, such as the one-man Baby boom in paradise by Ana Istarú, L-ATE by Manuel Barragán, a work selected at the last MNT 2019 Colima, she was a member of the companies Caja de Sorpresas IMPRO, Munay Biulú and was the winner in the short film contest "Calladita" in which she participated as a star actress in Morelia, Michoacán. Facilitator since 2012 at the state, national and international level. He has taken various refresher courses in acting and teacher training, nationally and abroad. It carries a research work based on the theatrical pedagogy of Debora Astrosky, the appreciative approach of Carl Rogers and the methodology of the theater of the oppressed by Augusto Boal. Producer of the great event "Function for the international day of tango" from 2014 to 2018, as well as the 2nd national theater meeting of the oppressed people 2018 and the IMPRO FESTIVAL from 2017 to January 2020 in Morelia, Michoacán. He has worked in various universities, such as the Popular Faculty of Fine Arts of the UMSNH and is currently an independent workshop teacher and works with Laboratorio Magdalenas Puebla and Ranas de Laboratorio in Puebla. Co-founder of the Arena Teatro collective where she participates in scenic projects involving participatory theaters, liminal scenes and gives acting workshops and sociocultural intervention.
