About Amelia
I am both an active professor at one of the best art schools in the US, Pratt Institute. I am also an active professional artist, exhibiting regularly both locally and nationally. I have been teaching at various art facilities for nearly 2 decades and have worked with all ages. I’m very patient and can offer a wide range of skill and portfolio development. I’m happy to meet you at whatever your level is currently and help you build the skills you desire for your creative expression!

I am particularly skilled in a wide range of drawing and painting techniques, including all types of painting media. I also teach design courses, which include: Procreate, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and color theory coursework.
As I have a Master's in Fine Arts and teach in higher education, I am adept at preparing yourself/student for portfolio applications if they are in high school and/or preparing for college.
I am able to teach anyone/all ages to improve in a particular artistic skill through one-on-one or group lessons. I have taught lessons to as young as 4 and through late-adulthood!
I build the course material around your interests and goals. From a small series or 3 - 5 classes building a specific skill or a multi-week series to continue to grow. Feel free to reach out and let me know your creative goals and budget!

Perfect! Amelia has been incredibly wonderful with my four year old son. She had endless patience and wonderful, gentle guidance to help my son with his art. My son loved her and always looked forward to her lessons over this summer. It is unfortunate that we are moving out of the neighborhood and will not be able to continue lessons with her.
