About Helen
I studied Aeronautical Engineering at Imperial College London and I achieved A*A*AA in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry A-levels.
While at university, I rowed at a high level, competing for GB in the U23 age group and I also taught rowing for 5 years at a high school, teaching ages 14-18.
I am currently tutoring to fund a year of being a full-time athlete and have experience tutoring and helping students with engineering university applications.

I take a personal approach to the lessons, initially meeting to discuss where the student is at in their education and what topics they have covered. Then I discover what the student finds most difficult and needs more focus on. I like teaching visually with diagrams and relating to real world situations.
I like to get to know my students and their lives outside lessons over the process of teaching them and hope that they would see me as a peer rather than a superior.
Lessons range from 1 hour to 2 hours typically.
Closer to exam time I discuss and set up a revision plan if needed.
My lessons are for A-level, GCSE and younger and I have previously helped students prepare for 16+ entrance exams and engineering university applications.
