About Fiona
Trained in Ghana and Melbourne, I have trained, taught and performed in a range of settings across Australia. My training is in both traditional West African and Congolese Soukous styles. Being a Dance therapist and with University postgraduate training in Choreography, I also incorporate modern and healing elements to the classes. My experience facilitating adult classes in Creative Mediation and years of teaching in schools, gives me great teaching skills for all ages.

I incorporate creative, exploratory, healing and improvisational components in to the classes, utilising music from around the globe. African dance is inherently beneficial for the organs and muscles whilst also improving brain/body intelligence, coordination and fitness. Dance is reported to be a great way to live longer and healthier and this style of dance is very grounding and empowering.
