About Marlene
My name is Marlene and I'm from the beautiful country of South Africa. I am passionate about teaching Afrikaans and to help people to improve their language abilities. I have 15 years experience in teaching and tutoring Afrikaans to school children as well as young adults, although there are no age restrictions. Together we will have a friendly, relaxed and comfortable classroom to make sure that you feel excited and motivated during the learning process.

Lessons will be one-on-one, we will have a relaxed and comfortable classroom. My methods are diverse and I tailor to each student's needs. A typical lesson will begin by greeting and some casual conversation. We will establish what your goal is and we will discuss it to make sure that you will be excited and motivated to reach those goals. We will have a lesson by reading and/or writing, pronunciation and speech. If you want to learn for the first time, or if you are proficient and want to improve, we can reach that goal together.
