About Alessandro
I am a composer and an arranger. I have completed my postgraduate degree in Jazz Composition and Arrangement in 2017 at “Saint Louis College of Music” in Rome (Italy). My final dissertation was on Gil Evans.
I am also an electric bass guitar and double bass player. I took my degree in Electric Jazz Bass in 2013 at the Music Conservatory 'Umberto Giordano' (Foggia - Italy).
I started to play the bass guitar, to arrange and compose (1998-ongoing) at a really young age. I have worked as bass player in several jazz, funk and rock bands and in a choro orchestra. I never stopped performing as musician and composing music.
Being a versatile musician and playing with different type of bands and orchestras has helped me in becoming a versatile composer. I am band leader, arranger, composer and bass player of The Offbeat Arkestra, a jazz reggae band. Furthermore, one of my jazz arrangement was selected for the European Tour 'Italian jazz on the road 2015'.
I won a competition in 2016 called "Working With Music" that allowed me to work as teaching assistant at the West London University. I started this new job experience in September 2017.
