About Rorisang
I am a professional performing artist and experienced recording artist who was born and raised in Pretoria, South Africa. I started confidently singing in the fourth grade and had the opportunity to be a part of the Jacaranda Children's Choir in the sixth grade, which contributed to my musical development. I went to a high school called Pro Arte Alphen Park which laid a foundation for me because I was classically trained. Through my high school years, I received awards for being the best voice learner. In 2017, I matriculated and obtained a distinction in Music. 2018 was the year when I studied Jazz and Popular Music at the Tshwane University of Technology. I have recently graduated and obtained my National Diploma in Music (Cum Laude). I have successfully made it into the Standard Bank National Youth Jazz Band 2021.
I have a passion for empowering and inspiring students musically. Teaching will grant me the opportunity to impart the knowledge I have acquired through my education and experience. I believe that my students and I will gain more experience and find innovative ways to ensure that we get the most from our lessons. I would also love to play a role and be a part of my students' musical growth/journey.

I aim to teach my students the fundamentals of vocal technique, vocal health, vocal improvisation, and vocal performance. In doing so, I aim to equip my students with ways to successfully apply what I teach according to their musical needs.
My style of teaching includes four important steps:
Introduction: The anatomy of the Voice and how it functions.
1. Explanation: In-depth explanation of the specific topic and its benefits.
2. Demonstration: I will demonstrate what I have explained previously and show common mistakes (if necessary).
3. Application: The student will be given a chance to practice/apply what was explained and demonstrated.
4. Test: The student will be tested to ensure that they fully understand and can apply the topic.
Students can expect to improve their vocal technique, to have a better understanding of vocal performance, to find different ways of approaching vocal improvisation and they can expect to have more confidence as singers.
All the lessons will be taught in English. The lessons are aimed at beginners singers/vocalists
