About Stephanie
I recently graduated from Valdosta State University with my BA degree in American Sign Language/English interpreting. I am currently working to advance my interpreting skills and get on with an apprenticeship with a VRS agency. Every day, I aim to focus a substantial amount of time practicing and advancing my skills. Growing in one’s ASL/sign language skills is vital for interacting effectively with the Deaf Community. We have the special privilege to learn this unique language and share it with others. While my lessons will maintain an appropriate level of professionalism where I take your time and learning seriously, I view this as a wonderful opportunity to grow together with my students and assist in any way I can. If you are nervous about learning sign language or are struggling particularly in any area, do not become discouraged. I was there once too and I am so grateful for the help and support that was given to me. That is something I want to provide all my students with and ensure that this is a safe space where they can learn and advance, leaving each lesson feeling more confident each time.
