About Jessica
Hello, my name is Jessica, I'm an 18 year old studying Animal Management at level 3 - I did study A-levels but found out that more intense exams were not for me, I studied Criminology, Psychology and Film Studies so I recently changed course earlier this academic year (I can reassure you, your choices are not permanent). I like motorbikes, writing, reading, learning new languages (fun fact; currently learning German) and music - I am currently writing a novel which I hope to publish one day.
I have always loved literature and creative writing, I've been writing since I was 12 and take pride in it too. I hope that I can inspire you and guide you throughout English, whether you need help developing your language skills, vocabulary, creative writing skills, summary skills, reading and writing or even analysis of quotes from texts you're studying.
Another fun fact; I struggled in my English, but got a grade 8 and 7 during that time, so if I can do it I know you can too!

I take pride in learning how YOU learn, are you a visual learner? Hands on learner? Auditory learner? Due to studying half of a psychology A-level before changing course earlier this academic year, I learnt the importance of educating in ways that a learner understands, more so than how I teach. Personally, I learn by repetition and summaries, so I tend to condense down large pieces of information into smaller pieces when learning and teaching.
I am flexible for the sake of your learning, a typical lesson can be anywhere from 1-3 hours, depending on the agenda for that lesson. E.g if it is a small piece of text you need help with, that will probably take around 1.30, but if it's a larger piece of text then it will lean more towards the 3 hour mark. I do supply breaks, don't worry.
Overall in my GCSEs I got 5 grade 8's, 2 grade 7's and 2 grade 6's; Maths, Lang + Lit are 8, 8, 7 - Bio, Chem and Phys are 8, 6, 7 - music, geog and Spanish are 8, 8, 6 (in that order).
My tutoring is for GCSE level, anyone from the age of 11+ - I do not have any prior tutoring experience, but we all have to start somewhere.
