About Lucy
I am passionate about delivering high-quality, student-centered learning. I loved school and university, and I aim to share the same enjoyment and enthusiasm with every student I work with. My goal is to foster curiosity and critical thinking. The human body is fascinating. How lucky we are to learn new things! With an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science and a Master's in Human Anatomy, I bring strong subject knowledge in about anatomy and physiology. Every student knows something, and it is my role to strengthen that, fill gaps, and support progress over time.

Typically sessions will be 1-1.5 hours each week. I specialise in University teaching (ages 17-25) but also have experience in Biology teaching for high school students. I tailor my classes to the individual student and build upon each week, ensuring to follow the specific school/university syllabus. Generally a lesson will start with reminding ourselves what we learnt the week before, introducing the topic for the session, running through some practice questions, a hands-on activity such as drawing, and finally a mini quiz to ensure the student is confident in the content. I like to use visuals such as mind-maps and mini games to practice recall, memory, break up the lesson, and make it a bit fun!
