About Elias
I’ve been working with young students for eight years. I started as a one-to-one to severely autistic children. My next career, as a behavior-intervention-implementer, brought opportunities to connect with both SpEd and GenEd students. Direct experience in the field had me leading lessons, implementing accommodations, and becoming the ultimate cheerleader. I’m very empathetic, so I naturally formed trusting connections that helped my students want to learn.
In addition to my professional positions, I have also taken leadership and teaching roles in unofficial capacities. For example, I taught my sister how to read and write when her ADHD became an obstacle in her learning. In high school, I was the top of my class in Algebra I and would provide one-to-one assistant to other students every class period. All my life I’ve been guiding people through their learning journeys and taking a trustworthy, authoritative, teaching role in all sorts of environments.

I’ve always been in gifted programs because of my high test scores, but struggling with several learning disabilities made me feel misunderstood and unmotivated. At the same time, I observed how traditional school systems could underestimate me because of the obstacles I struggled with. Now, I’m dedicated to providing an empathetic, smooth journey through learning for students who may be going through similar experiences. I want my students to feel like they can learn with confidence, passion, and enthusiasm. I adapt my lessons to individual learning styles, respecting strengths and weaknesses alike. School can be a rigid, unforgiving environment, but my lessons are full of encouragement.
