About Dr Andrei Liquer
Hi! I’m Dr. Andrei Liquer, an award-winning Brazilian concert pianist with a PhD in Music Psychology and Performance. With over 15 international competition prizes, I’ve performed across three continents — in solo recitals, chamber music, and major opera productions, including the Chicago Opera Festival.
I bring together deep academic knowledge and elite performance experience to help each student develop solid technique, musicality, confidence, and artistic identity. I’ve studied in Brazil, Canada, and the U.S., including an Artist Diploma at Chicago College of Performing Arts, and currently pursuing a Performer Diploma at Indiana University, one of the most prestigious music schools in the nation.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the honor of working side by side with some of the world’s most brilliant pianists, including Adam Neiman, Jorge Federico Osorio, and Dinara Klinton — inspiring artists who have shaped my approach to both performance and teaching.
With over 14 years of teaching experience and more than 100 students trained across four countries, I teach with both heart and science — combining tradition with the latest research in how we learn music. I’ve worked as a doctoral assistant mentoring university-level pianists and regularly give masterclasses in conservatories and universities.

My teaching method is rooted in the belief that expressiveness is at the heart of every great musician. As a specialist in music psychology and performance, both my Master’s dissertation and PhD thesis focus on creativity, emotional communication, and musical expressivity — and I bring that research directly into my lessons.
Whether you're a beginner or an advanced student, my mission is to help you find your unique voice at the piano and express it with freedom and artistry.
What makes my lessons different?
• Personalized structure: Lessons are flexible — 30, 45, or 60 minutes — to suit your schedule and focus.
• Holistic musicianship: You’ll learn not only how to read music, but also how to play by ear, improvise, and harmonize, whether you're interested in classical, rock, blues, country, or any contemporary style.
• Creative expression: I help you understand the emotional core of the music and how to project it through your sound.
• Engaging for kids: My approach to teaching children aged 5–6 is full of joy, imagination, and interactive games that make learning music truly fun.

• Integrated music theory: Theory is gently woven into each lesson — no dry exercises, just musical discovery.
• Top-tier online experience: For remote students, I offer high-quality Zoom lessons using excellent audio and camera equipment to create an immersive and inspiring virtual environment.
