About Nathanael
I’ve been teaching private lessons for 7 years, and I have beginner students and advanced students. I am a graduate student at the Cleveland Institute of Music working on a performance diploma. I have toured in the US and in Europe, giving concerts in many great halls including a few performances in Carnegie Hall. I’ve served as assistant concertmaster of the Grammy-Nominated National Orchestral Institute Orchestra, and I was an Artist in Residence at the Madeline Island Chamber music festival. As a part of my residency I got to do a nice tour of Minneapolis and St. Paul, giving masterclasses to young string quartets and doing performances with my string quartet. Recently, a wonderful orchestra in Switzerland invited me to Geneva for a semi-final audition, but I wasn’t able to go because of coronavirus.

In order of process and importance, I teach: Comfort, Agility, Focus, and Expression. Violin is an awkward instrument but you should never be uncomfortable when playing. This is why I start there. I can teach you a lot of great music skills but ultimately, I will help you with the technical side of violin playing so that you are free and able to express what you already have in your heart and mind.
