Ana Marija is one of our best Harp tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Ana Marija

I am a Professional Harpist from Serbia, with over 5 years of experience in teaching, 25 years of playing and lots of other experiences like orchestra playing, contests, competitions etc. I know and love learning languages, Serbian, Italian, English, bit of Hungarian, German.. It is always good to learn and become some form of art, the act feeds your soul with positive energy which in this century we lack. I love every form of art this one- music is my most favorite. I have been playing Harp since I was 7 years old, before that I played the piano and been a ballerina for a few years. I also have learned opera solo singing, have elementary school finished in that area. It is very difficult to learn a new skill but every great thing that is hard means that it is worth waiting and being patient for because at the end when you see and feel the result of your learning you become a different person, someone with new knowledge and experience. Which nobody can take away it is only yours, you can always get back to it at any time and any age. Music is good for developing and maintaining your Brain in good shape. Music is directly connected to language and mathematics, so by playing an instrument no matter what level you are you are actually developing new skills for life.

About the lesson

My lessons will contain teaching you how to play the Harp on any level. From Basic to professional. Harp lesson learning proper technique, musical expression and will also include if needed theory of music, solfeggio and Harp History of music.
My teaching methods is very adaptable it depends on a student. Every students has different knowledge and different curiosity about this instrument. The level of engagement is important so I adapt my lessons towards students.

Perfect! She’s absolutely wonderful. She’s highly skilled as a harpist and takes the time to identify what may be holding you back. Each lesson, Ana gives me an exercise to continue practicing throughout the week. She analyses the form of my hand and how I’m holding my arms so I build proper habits. She helps me understand the why behind what I’m doing and if I need help with just music theory she’s happy to help. I’m so glad I found her. Harp is a wonderful challenge and having the right tutor makes all the difference.

Ana Marija's response
Jessica's skill and interest in Harp i s admirable for someone who played this instrument for a while and then had a break for a few years. Quick learner, good listener, up to the task. Knows what she wants and is willing to put in the work to accomplish her goal! It is very fulfilling working with a student that wants to learn. Takes music pedagogue to another level. Thank you Jess, I have enjoyed our lesson.

Ana has been the absolute best tutor. Her patience is unmatched and she has such a drive to see her students succeed. The way she explains the techniques makes so much sense and she really pays attention to how you learn best. Now I wake up, sit at the harp, and just play something beautiful. It brings peace to my day. I’m so glad I chose her as my tutor.

I met Ana through the Superprof website. I initially hadn't noticed that she lived in another country, but she was so accommodating that the time difference wasn't a problem at all. She is incredibly patient and attentive, and she made learning the harp a genuinely enjoyable and comfortable experience. Even though lessons were online, which can make it challenging to assess technique, she was excellent at observing my playing, identifying areas for improvement, and providing clear, helpful corrections. She made the learning process feel easy, always addressed my concerns, and consistently made an effort to accommodate my needs. She is truly lovely to work with, and I’m so grateful for the care and dedication she brings to her teaching. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking to learn the harp.
