About Juan Daniel
I am a Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in classical guitar and plucked strings, graduated from the Technological University of Pereira and current Master of Music Theory student.
I was concertmaster of the guitar orchestra of the UTP and I have developed my musical work in the city of Pereira playing in different places.
I was invited to Helsinki (Finland) to collaborate for three months with the formation processes of the musical area of the SUHE church.
I have taught individual and collective classes to children and adults since 2012.
I have worked in the extension courses of the Technological University of Pereira in the classical guitar line; in musical academies such as Majestic under the focus of childrens recreation and actually I work in collaboration with Centros de Formación y Liderazgo giving individual lessons of functional, electric and classical guitar, as well as musical initiation.

I offer three (3) study approaches to the guitar:
1. FUNCTIONAL GUITAR:
It focuses on developing basic aspects in the domain of the instrument. The repertoire studiede in this modality has a popular character (musically NOT academic), focused on the development of the guitarist as a companion.
a) Studied topics:
-Chord structures discrimination
-Rhythmic work
-Technical basic work
-Basic theoretical work
-Musical genres discrimination
-Popular repertoire
b. Ideal for:
-People looking for a quick approach to the guitar
-People with a desire to play what is commonly heard in the popular musical medium
2. CLASSICAL GUITAR:
Focuses on developing deep aspects in the domain of the instrument. The repertoire worked in this modality is academic, focused on the development of the guitarist as a soloist.
a) Topics studied:
-Advanced technical work
-Sight reading
-Advanced theoretical work
-Musical analysis components
-Performance components
-Repertory of classical guitar (determined by historical and stylistic periods)
b. Ideal for:
-People who want a complete develop of the instrument
-People who seek to go deeper into the musical and extra musical elements of the performance
-People who seek a soloists development
3. ELECTRIC GUITAR:
Focuses on the development of the necessary elements for the execution of the instrument.
The repertoire worked in this modality has both a popular and academic nature, focused on the development of the guitarist as a companion or soloist.
a) Topics studied:
-Advanced technical work
-TAB and score reading
-Advanced theoretical work
-Advanced rhythmic work
-Genres discrimination
-Musical style discrimination
-Popular and academic repertoire.
b. Ideal for:
-People who want a complete development of the instrument
-People who want to go deeper into the electric guitar
-People who seek versatility.
Important info. about the lessons:
- I suggest that the customer takes PERSONALIZED (individual) lessons, because this allows me to be 100% focused on the needs that the student is evidencing.
- If the customer wants to have a collective session, I suggest a maximum of TWO (2) students per lesson.
- Collective sessions of more than TWO (2) students are allowed only under the desire and responsibility of the customer.
NOTE:
If the person insists on wanting to share their class sessions with two or more classmates, it is my duty as a professional to ensure that the individual process will be limited by the learning facility of the less capable student. In this case the results will be evidenced slower.

Perfect! Excelente profesor...se interesa por los gustos musicales y objetivos del estudiante y a partir de ahí, planifica la metodología de enseñanza.
9 meses de clases continuas con el profesor, y ya conozco muchas canciones, ritmos, rasgueos, acordes, estructuras y técnicas para mejorar mi habilidad para tocar guitarra.

Cuando pensamos en capacidades musicales podemos encontrar muchos virtuosos y cuando pensamos en docencia y pedagogía las opciones empiezan a reducirse, si a esta búsqueda le añadimos el carácter íntegro como persona entonces la dificultad aumenta, pues justamente eso es lo que Juan Daniel representa, una persona íntegra digna de confianza y un ser humano de valores insoslayables con el talento, la preparación y la pedagogía para trasmitir contenido y vida a través de la música.
Es un excelente músico, además es paciente, comprometido y comprensivo, usa diversas estrategias de acuerdo al estudiante, si quieres estudiar con él, te llevará a disfrutar la música en otro nivel! Recomendado 100%
Conoci a daniel en campamentos cristianos donde era encargado de dirigir la parte musical de estos espacios..
Tambien tuve el privilegio de tenerlo como invitado en mi boda y me regalo un concierto con mis amigos increíble..

Excelente persona y un músico muy destacado, totalmente confiable y responsable con los procesos de enseñanza. Tiene un10 de 10 en todos los sentidos.
Es apasionado por lo que hace y transmite eso en sus clases.. Sus estudiantes muestran siempre avances significativos !! Totalmente recomendado!!
Es una excelente persona, lo que lo capacita para darle todo el significado real de lo que significa ser un profesor. Aparte de tener un extenso conocimiento en su área, explica todo con rigor y facilidad. Esto permite que cualquier persona que desee aprender con él sea una opción segura de adquirir conocimiento.
El maestro Juan Daniel Padilla es licenciado en música de la Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, en estos momentos esta finalizando una maestria en teoria de la música. Además en su profesionalismo guarda un sentido de responsabilidad incomparable y una buena presentación personal. Sus metodologías son la mezcla entre la teoria y la practica. No es de esos profesores de los cuales se dice con pesar: "Toca muy bien pero no sabe transmitir el conocimiento" al contrario es buen interprete de la guitarra y sabe no solo dar gusto por el instrumento, sino generar resultados sorprendentes en el aprendizaje del mismo. Lo digo porque soy estudiante de él.
Es un excelente guitarrista, un gran músico, un artista integral... Y como profesor, enseña de una manera muy completa y profesional! :D
