About Jessalyn
Over the last few years, I have taken teaching courses and I have learned a lot about ways that learners learn best and best practices in teaching. I have taken a particular interest in reading and phonics instruction as well as dyslexia and how to form instruction to support those readers with other needs.

I believe that the best way to learn is to do. I am all about kinesthetic and visual learning.
Lessons will typically begin with some type of review and then we will do a gradual release of responsibility from the teacher to the learner.
I am a certified teacher for ages K-8th grade but my lessons are for anyone who wants to improve their reading, whether it is comprehension skills, vocabulary skills, phonics skills, fluency skills, or any other reading skills.
