About Clay

I am a native of Troy, Tennessee, a small town in Northwest Tennessee. I am a graduate of Obion County Central High School, Lipscomb University, and the University of Tennessee at Martin, where I obtained my Master's in Education. I have worked for the radio station WCMT, worked as editor of the newspaper The Weakley County Press. I spent 3 years teaching English as a Second Language in Guadalajara, Mexico, and speak Spanish. I also spent last year teaching English II, III, and IV at Lake County High School.

About the lesson

I love to lock into my students' natural curiosity to help them explore, learn, and expand their knowledge. I love to help foster clear writing and communication. I specialize in teaching clear and concise writing, helping students make their points clear and effective, and helping students learn great grammar, syntax, and linguistic skills.
