About Ussiel
For more than eight years I have carried out my professional work in the audiovisual medium, especially in documentary and fiction film, emphasizing the work of cinematographer and director. I am a Lic. In Audiovisual Communication from the Higher Institute of Art in Havana, in photography profile; I have studies at the Veracruzana University, the EICTV of San Antonio de los Baños (Cuba) and Master's studies in Design and Visual Communication at UNAM. My work has a versatile character in various areas of the audiovisual industry in both Cuba and Mexico. I have also given workshops for the Superior Institute of Art, the CDMX Culture Secretariat, the Luis Buñuel House, in the countries of Cuba and Mexico. My work has been recognized and exhibited by the United Nations Population Fund (2012), International Festival of New Latin American Cinema in Havana (2013), FONCA (2014), ECOFILM Festival (2016), Macabro XVII and Shorts México ( 2018) among others.

The methodology I use combines theory with practice so that you gain a better understanding of the techniques and resources available during class. Dialogue with the student is a fundamental part of the sessions since they allow solving the doubts or concerns that have arisen, so that they are answered during the course of the session. The classes are divided into two types: Theoretical session, in which the knowledge necessary to undertake your documentary project is exposed from pre-production to the exit of the work. Practical session, it is this part is where you will be able to carry out exercises to practice the theory seen, they are executed during the class and also tasks are proposed for their later analysis.
