About Jared
A little bit more about me:
At the age of 7 I started learning brass instruments, mainly the trumpet. By age 12, I was playing in all the school ensembles, county-wide orchestras and concert bands and starting to develop my interest in recording and production.
I followed this interest through my education, gaining AS/A levels in music and music technology, followed by a Music Degree from The University of Plymouth with a specialism in Technology.
Throughout my time at university, I devoted any non-study time to playing in Big Bands, Function Bands and getting to play with organisations such as; Symphonia Viva, Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and The BBC. At the same time I was working with artists, songwriters and bands making singles and albums from my university bedroom which later turned into a real passion for making, playing and being involved in great music.
Straight from university, I partnered with an old friend and built what is now, the Electric Bear Group. A multi-faceted audio company that works in the music and audio industries supplying services and products such as; Recording, Music Production and studio facilities to audio system designs, speaker manufacturing and logistic support.
I have the pleasure of working with incredibly talented people on a daily basis in both the music and audio worlds such as; Nathan Grisdale, May Music, Ria Barkr, The M.O.D, Carling, RSPB, Church of England & many more.
For those interested, I have an ever-growing wealth of knowledge in most aspects of music, from wanting to take a hobby seriously to making a living from your passion in a musical and business sense.

Each lesson will carry a different format. Rather than provide students with blanket formats and curriculum, I offer the opportunity to learn about your base level skills, wishes for improvement and areas of concern from which we will work forward improving each area so that 1. suits you and 2. is free-flowing and holistic.
As a tutor and mentor, I have helped develop the careers of countless artists, musicians and industry professionals by enabling them to think outside the box, understand the core principles of their learning and translate their knowledge into career or interest progression.
My lessons are for all abilities, but will most suit those with an essential ability in music, whether that be technology, instrument or theory. (Instrument/voice grade 3 or 2+ years hobbyist)
