About Yilian
I have been learning the guzheng at a music school for 16 years, starting in first grade. During that time, I have obtained a professional certificate of Grade 10, as well as medals from various music festivals, such as the Silver Medal of the International Chinese Music Festival. I had the honour to perform with the most famous Chinese guzheng player, Zhongshan Wang, on the same stage.I really enjoy the process of teaching and the sense of fulfilment that comes from cultivating others cannot be replaced by anything else. Teaching is a process of interacting with people, and I want to be friends with my students rather than have a serious teacher-student relationship.
