About Stephen
I am a mechanic and software developer by trade but I have lived off of my music for quite some time. I’ve played the Metro and Congress Theatre in Chicago, Whisky a Go-Go and Sunset Grill in LA, I’ve played at Checkpoint Charlie’s and the Howlin Wolf in New Orleans. I’ve written/ Co- written 3 albums. As part of the rhythm section I’ve learned how to view my place as a bassist as the best spot in the music industry. I’ve shared the stage with the crazy guys called Monk 9 and others like Coal Chamber. Music is anything you want it to be.

Learning the instrument first. From the head stock down, then getting used to proper positioning for the plucking hand, then the fretting hand, then playing notes in time with a metronome, as the student gets used to and better with timing, then I will teach major and minor scales again with proper positioning and give hand and finger exercises while not playing the instrument. Songs can be introduced by this time and can move into the intermediate stage.
