About Shivedh
I have a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management and Economics, as well as an Honours degree in Economics, and I am currently studying towards a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting.
My academic journey has given me experience across different areas of Commerce and has also reminded me what it is like to be a student learning challenging concepts. I believe that sometimes a learner does not need more information — they simply need the information explained in a different way.
I also have practical exposure to accounting and auditing environments, which has strengthened my appreciation for understanding the principles behind the numbers.
As a tutor, I aim to create a patient and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. My focus is on helping learners build understanding and confidence while encouraging them to think through problems for themselves.

My Grade 10 Accounting lessons are patient, practical and tailored to the individual learner. My aim is to help students understand why an accounting process works rather than simply memorising steps.
Students are encouraged to share the topic or area they are having difficulty with before the lesson. This allows me to prepare in advance so that our lesson time can be focused on the learner's specific needs.
During lessons, we can work through concepts step by step, discuss areas of difficulty and practise relevant questions together. Students are encouraged to ask questions, and I am happy to explain a concept differently until it becomes clearer.
These lessons are specifically aimed at Grade 10 Accounting learners who would like additional support, practice or greater confidence in the subject. Lessons are offered in English and can be conducted online throughout South Africa or in person, subject to location and availability.
My role is to teach, explain and guide. I will not complete homework, assignments, tests or other assessed work on a student's behalf.
