Teaching and learning Afrikaans can be quite difficult, especially if you teach it as a first additional language, but there are many approaches to use when teaching this language. Afrikaans is a language which can be fun to learn, such as translating words directly from Afrikaans to English, which will make the learning process more enjoyable. I will be using props and telling stories to help students understand what I’m teaching them and I will play with the tone of my voice to capture students’ attention
