About Martin
Berklee Graduate, recently arrived to Melbourne. Professional composer, producer and performing musician (visit (concealed information) Previous teaching assignments have included Harvard University, MIT, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and Boston Ballet. Presently working at JMC Academy, teaching music theory and ear training, in addition to training graduates to succeed in the professional world (specialist class).

Individual students deserve individual curriculum for teaching; I feel it is important to have a student first excited and engaged before extensive theory.
I use a variety of teaching tools, including oral tradition, hands-on demonstrations, interactive teaching, and if the student is able, I use the Berklee undergraduate repertoire, to get them ready for the next level in their careers, whether being a musician, producer, or other field.
I ask what they wish to learn, and make that a subset of the curriculum, so they are engaged, empowered, and also walking through the basics of a music education.
