I'm Namitha, and I believe that biology becomes fascinating when students can connect scientific concepts to the world around them. I incorporate visual learning tools, real-life analogies, and interactive questioning to keep students engaged and thinking critically rather than just memorizing facts. I help students build a framework for thinking about biology logically. A typical lesson plan will be as follows:
1) Review (5-10 min): Quick recap of previous material and address any lingering questions. Review any practice materials provided the week prior.
2) New concept introduction (15-20 min): Present new topic using clear explanations and visuals
3) Guided practice (15-20 min): Work through examples together, encouraging student participation
4) Independent application (10-15 min): Student attempts problems while I provide support as needed
5) Summary & next steps (5 min): Recap key takeaways and preview upcoming material. Check-in time to see how I can better support your goals!
