About Ned
I have spent the last 4 years completing a Biomedical Science degree at the Universities of Sheffield and Sydney. My specialist area is neuroscience, but I have received a high standard of training across many areas including molecular, cellular and developmental biology. This will allow me to help you tackle any difficulties you have, but also means I have been on the receiving end of teachers using gibberish! I will explain concepts using easy-to-understand language, while also making sure any key terms are not missed out. Outside of science, I love participating in and watching sport, particularly swimming, surfing and hockey. I also love to travel - having spent a year in Australia, I am hoping to go on another big trip at some point soon!

Hi! My name's Ned and I recently graduated with an honours degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Sheffield, with a Year Abroad spent in Sydney. I achieved Grade 9 at GCSE Biology and an A* at A-Level. I'm keen to help GCSE or A-level students of any ability, whether you are looking to gain confidence in biology or to push for a high grade. I will work with my students to tailor my lessons to their individual needs and learning style. On the first call, we will establish what has been covered so far in lessons and which of these areas students find most challenging. A typical lesson would last around 40-60 minutes, depending on the preferences of the individual. I will take constant feedback from my students in order to personalise my lessons as much as possible, both in their pace and style of teaching. I will use a mixture of question types to challenge and solidify understanding - I believe the best way to learn is when you're having fun!
