About Samantha
Hi, I'm Sam — a Biomedical Technician with hands-on experience keeping medical devices running safely and reliably in real healthcare settings. Every day, I work directly with the equipment that nurses, doctors, and techs depend on, which gives me a unique behind-the-scenes perspective most training programs don't cover.
I got into tutoring because I kept noticing the same thing: healthcare workers are experts in patient care, but device etiquette — how to handle, present, and troubleshoot equipment smoothly — often gets overlooked in formal training. That gap can lead to unnecessary stress, inefficiency, and even moments that undermine patient confidence. I wanted to help close it.
My approach is practical, not theoretical. I don't just explain how a device works — I walk through the habits, communication skills, and small etiquette details that make a real difference on the floor: how to talk about a device with a nervous patient, how to hand off equipment cleanly between shifts, how to avoid the mistakes that cause friction with technical staff.
I tailor every session to the person in front of me. A nurse juggling five devices a shift has different needs than a physician coordinating with biomed on a repair, and I meet you where you are.
Outside of tutoring, I'm continually learning about new medical technology so I can bring the most current, relevant knowledge into every session.
