About Kathleen
Hi! My name is Kathleen, and I’m a bilingual English–Portuguese speaker with a passion for helping others learn languages in a way that feels natural and empowering. I was born in the U.S., and spent 6 years studying in Brazil. I grew up surrounded by both cultures, which taught me early on how language can open doors and connect people in powerful ways. I’ve worked with students from ages 7 to 28, and I love creating lessons that are fun, flexible, and personalized to each person’s goals. For the past few years I’ve translated Tedtalks in Brazilian Schools for great people like SpaceTalkGabe and Mike Lester.

Hi! If you’ve been wanting to learn Portuguese in a way that actually makes sense and feels natural, I’d love to help you get there. I’m bilingual in English and Portuguese, and I’ve taught students of all ages, so whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve your skills, I’ll meet you where you are. I keep my lessons relaxed, personal, and focused on real-life conversations, not just memorizing rules. I know how frustrating it can be to learn a new language, and that’s why I make sure my students feel supported and confident every step of the way.
