About Anne
As a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker currently studying in the United States, I bring both authenticity and dedication to my teaching. I understand the challenges of learning a new language, and I use that experience to support my students with patience, clarity, and encouragement.
I am committed to creating a positive and respectful learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and practicing without fear of making mistakes. I take each lesson seriously and always come prepared, ensuring that my students receive structured, meaningful, and engaging sessions.
In addition to my passion for teaching, I am also working to support my college education, which motivates me to be responsible, professional, and fully dedicated to my students’ progress and success.
My goal is not only to teach Portuguese, but to help students build confidence and actually use the language in real-life situations. I am reliable, organized, and genuinely motivated to help each student improve at their own pace.

My approach as a tutor is focused on making learning Portuguese natural, comfortable, and practical for real-life situations. As a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker, I help students develop confidence through conversation, while also building a strong foundation in vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar in a simple and clear way.
My teaching method is interactive and student-centered. I like to adapt each lesson to the student’s level and goals, using a mix of conversation practice, guided exercises, and real-life examples such as everyday situations, culture, and common expressions. I believe that learning a language should feel engaging, not overwhelming.
A typical lesson usually starts with a short review of previous content, followed by new vocabulary or a specific topic (such as daily conversations, travel, or school-related language). Then we practice together through speaking activities and simple exercises, ending with feedback and tips for improvement.
What sets me apart is my focus on creating a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and improving naturally. I also bring cultural context from Brazil, helping students understand not only the language but how it is actually used in real life.
My lessons are ideal for beginners and intermediate students, especially those who want to improve their speaking skills, pronunciation, and confidence. They are also great for students learning Portuguese for school, travel, or personal interest.
