About Edgard Junior

Why You Can Trust My Guidance as Your Portuguese Tutor I was born and raised in Brazil and lived there for 29 years before moving to the United States, where I’ve been living for the past five years. Portuguese is not just my native language — it’s my culture, my day-to-day life, and the way I naturally communicate. I’m also fluent in English and Spanish, which makes it easy for me to explain even the most complex topics in a clear, simple, and friendly way. Beyond teaching, I have strong experience working remotely in areas like marketing, translation, customer support, communication, and conversation-based coaching. This background helps me understand different learning styles, adapt quickly, and guide students with professionalism and patience. My goal is always the same: help you feel confident, supported, and excited to speak Portuguese in the real world. You’ll learn with someone who understands your challenges, respects your pace, and knows exactly how to take you from “I’m trying” to “I’m speaking.” If you want a tutor who brings real-life experience, cultural insight, and a professional, reliable approach — you’re in good hands.

My Teaching Approach — Conversational, Practical, and Fully Customized for Your Real Life

I teach Brazilian Portuguese the same way people actually speak it in real life — through conversation, real situations, and practical examples you can use immediately. My method is simple: no boring grammar overload, no robotic textbook phrases. Instead, we build a personalized plan together based on your goals, your level, and the specific situations you need to master.

How My Lessons Work

A typical lesson starts with a quick warm-up conversation so you get comfortable speaking right away. Then we dive into practical topics like ordering food, talking to locals, asking for directions, handling small talk, understanding cultural expressions, and navigating everyday Brazilian life. Each class includes pronunciation training, essential vocabulary, and short role-plays so you can practice real conversations with confidence.

What Makes Me Different

I’m a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker and a veterinarian from Brazil with real experience teaching people from different backgrounds. My students learn fast because I adapt the lesson around their world, not around a generic script. I focus on natural conversation, cultural context, and hands-on guidance so you don’t just memorize words — you actually communicate.

I also help you fix common mistakes quickly, explain Portuguese in a simple and friendly way, and keep the vibe relaxed so you learn without pressure.

Who My Lessons Are For

My classes are ideal for beginners, intermediate learners, travelers, expats, and anyone planning to visit or live in Brazil. Whether you want Portuguese for tourism, business, daily conversations, or cultural fluency, I create a personal roadmap designed specifically for you.

If you want to learn with a tutor who actually cares, speaks naturally, and teaches you the Portuguese you’ll use every day in Brazil — I’ve got you.
