About Anne

Hi, I’m Anne! I am a BSc Neuroscience graduate with over 10 years of experience teaching students of all ages and abilities, including those with special needs. My passion is helping students not just succeed academically, but truly understand it and feel confident in their abilities. I bring patience, professionalism, and a personalized approach to every lesson. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning needs, using clear explanations, interactive exercises, and practical examples to make any subject engaging and accessible. My goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, tackle challenges, and achieve their academic goals. With a decade of hands-on experience, I have helped countless students improve grades, build confidence, and develop problem-solving skills that last a lifetime. When you work with me, you’re not just getting a tutor—you’re gaining a dedicated mentor committed to your success.

About the lesson

I design SAT and ACT lessons to help students build confidence, master test strategies, and achieve top scores. Each session is personalized to target a student’s strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring efficient progress and skill retention.

Teaching Methodology and Techniques:
I focus on both content mastery and test-taking strategies for all sections of the SAT and ACT. Lessons include practice questions, timed exercises, and techniques for tackling tricky problems. I emphasize understanding the reasoning behind each question, teaching students how to think critically, manage time effectively, and avoid common mistakes.

Typical Lesson Plan:
Review previous material and test practice results
Teach new strategies for reading, writing/English, math, and science (ACT) sections
Guided practice with step-by-step explanations
Timed drills to build speed and accuracy
Recap key takeaways and personalized study tips

What Sets Me Apart:
With over 10 years of experience working with students of all ages and abilities, including those with learning differences, I create a supportive and adaptive learning environment. My neuroscience background informs evidence-based methods that boost comprehension, memory, and confidence.

Who the Lessons Are For:
These lessons are ideal for high school students preparing for the SAT or ACT who want to improve scores, strengthen test-taking skills, and build confidence. Whether starting from scratch or refining advanced skills, I tailor every lesson to the student’s goals.
