About Naomi
I have been tutoring on and off for 2 years, specialising in GCSE and A level ages but also in primary years. I will be going into the final year of my BA English Literature and Sociology in Spetember 2020 and then moving on to complete my teacher training soon after. My goal with all my experiences is to tailor the learning to something the students enjoy, and allow them an avenue to fall in love with learning that way.

My teaching method includes assessing where the student feels they are strongest first, allowing them to understand and feel their strengths! Then we identify topics they struggle with, focusing our attention together in that direction. I first give basic explanations for the student to get to grips with the topic, then slowly complicating things as rhey get more confident. The key to learning in my experience has always been application, and therefore I prefer to establish interest in something they are familiar with (for example comparing plots of books with things they are interested and familiar in and then later applying it to the book itself). Once confidence is built and familiarity established, I find that learning is more fluid and less stressful.
