About SassiFit
I started teaching dance when I was just 13 years old, went pro when I was 19 and opened my own studio, Studio 21 Dance & Fitness, in 2008. In 2014 I created SassiFit Dance Fitness, a Burlesque Dance Fitness class featuring easy-to-follow choreography in the styles of jazz, hip-hop, poms, Latin, Burlesque and Broadway, followed by mat-based strength training inspired by yoga, Pilates, and floor barre. I currently have youth dance and cheer programs in Lakewood and Commerce City, an adult nonprofit dance team based in Denver that has raised over $16,000 for charity since our inception in 2008, and SassiFit Dance Fitness classes for adults in Wheat Ridge and Denver. Dance has been my life for a very long time and I have built a career and a professional reputation of which I am very proud. This is what I do. This is who I am. And I would be honored to share the best part of my life with you.

I am a third generation professional Burlesque Performer. In fact, my aunt and grandmother are featured in nearly every book about the history of Burlesque! I have been teaching Burlesque and coaching Blush Burlesque Professional Dance Team since 2008, but I have been teaching dance since 1993 and dancing since 1986. I have been a professional dancer since 1999; dancing for the Colorado Rapids Cheerleaders and the Denver Nuggets Dancers, as well as coaching all ages from wee ones to college and professional teams. Sharing the love of dance and the joy of performing with others is my main passion in life. I love Burlesque especially because it values performance over perfection and allows each dancer to express themselves in a very body positive, inclusive and accepting environment. No previous dance or fitness experience necessary to channel your inner goddess into sexy, sassy moves that will elevate your mind and mood in just one class. Pop in for a visit or stay a while and develop your skills towards performing publicly for fun, privately to set the mood, or just for yourself to shed the negativity of modern life. In this day and age, loving your body and yourself is an act of rebellion. Burlesque helps with both! We are told all day from all sources that we are not enough. Burlesque says you are! Burlesque does more than teach you how to dance, it teaches you how to live; passionately and with reckless abandon!
