About Nina
I am a first year Geography student at St John's College, Cambridge, with experiencing teaching a variety of ages and abilities both within school, where I conducted lunchtime help sessions for Geography students up to GCSE level, and outside of school. Having achieved A*'s across the board for my A levels, and now studying at an internationally renowned university, I feel extremely lucky to have had the opportunities I have had and through tutoring, hope to help others through the often confusing and complicated Geography syllabus.

I feel that it is best to approach tutoring in the least intimidating way possible - after all, we as tutors ourselves are not hugely different in age from the students being tutored! Therefore I try to get to know the student as well as possible in terms of their abilities, and where they may or may not feel comfortable, checking over all areas of the syllabus first to spot any gaps in knowledge that need to be filled. I also maintain a focus not only on the 'facts' themselves, but actively try to encourage a genuine interest in the subject as I have always found this to be really beneficial to both answers in examinations, and in simply making the individual student a more well rounded individual.
