About James
Really, I just want to talk about maths and help people understand. The earliest photo of me that I can remember is one of me holding up a page of numbers. I was naturally gifted at maths. I learned to solve like a machine; but I loathed it. When I was 15, I was invited to a summer camp for International Mathematical Olympiad scouting, and my eyes were opened. Professors taught casually. There was open discussion and laughter. There was no shame in being unable to solve a question. It was there that I realised Maths isn't about the questions and answers. It's about the curiosity to understand. Maths doesn't have to be boring. Since then, I led the Maths tutor group at my school and have graduated from Cambridge in Maths with a first class degree, specialising in Pure Maths.

Maths is a way of looking at the world - no two people have the same perspective. We can all understand maths in our own way; it's my job to help you find it. I teach maths levels ranging from basic arithmetic, to GCSEs and A-Levels. I can also help with any extracurricular maths, such as Maths Olympiad practice and STEP/MAT preparation. I'll use the first lesson to see how you respond to different kinds of teaching, but my goal is to challenge you; but leave you satisfied with what you've done! Example topics: Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Statistics, Mechanics, etc.

Perfect! James is currently tutoring my son and we are very happy with his method of teaching. He explains in a very clear and concise manner. He has very strong hold on maths and he explains complex logic in very simple manner.

Perfect! Absolutely amazing experience with James. His Maths is top grade, and he is very diligent and detail oriented.
