About Matthew

My name is Matthew Saunders, and I am a first year medical student at Cambridge University. I achieved A*s in A level Maths and Further Maths, my scores being greater than 95% in both. I hope to spread my knowledge and expertise to students who require extra support during GCSEs and A levels, and this will be done in a fun, productive and interesting way. I was also a confident student in all areas of maths, including algebra, trigonometry, geometry, statistics, mechanics, decision mathematics, calculus, arithmetic, graph theory, complex numbers, and mathematical notation.

About the lesson

My lessons are targeted particularly at A level and GCSE maths students (any exam board), but I am also willing to teach below these levels (KS1-3). Lengths of lessons are flexible to the needs of the student. I will teach you the content (topics can be requested by you) and we will go through questions together. I will go through your work with you and give you quality advice and clear pointers to where you have gone wrong, if need be (once we are finished, I am sure you will start to be getting almost every question correct!). Lessons will also be personalised to the exam board you are taking, including OCR (A or B), Edexcel, AQA, CIE, Eduqas, or WJEC. My experience has been through my old school, where I taught maths to younger students during my A levels. I have been a top maths student all through my academic career, meaning I also helped A level students understand maths while I was learning it myself.

Matthew is a perfect tutor! He always prepare everything for me and has a solid plan in order to help me to achieve the grade I want! He’s PowerPoint is specific to my exam board and he always prepare me a lot of exam questions at the end ( and also teaching me exam techniques!) it is really useful, with his help, I managed to achieve a predicted grade of A* with a percentage of 87 in my end of year exam, which I didn’t thought that I was able to achieve it without his support. Also, with Matthew’s help I managed to go through A2 knowledge in one month before my year 13 start, which is typically helpful and efficient. He is an excellent teacher! (Rate 5/5 only because the limit is a 5 star)
