About Lucia
I was an academic in-school mentor for two years, offering classes in Latin language GCSE (WJEC) and History A Level (AQA). During this time, I worked with groups of 2 or 3 as well as with individual students and had lessons on a regular basis on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, right up to exam week. Overall, I have tutored 6 students of which 2 improved by 2 whole grades during the time we worked together.
At GCSE I achieved A* grades in all the 13 courses I completed, and at A Level I also achieved 3 A* grades in English, Geography, and History. In addition to this, I completed an EPQ (A*) and a successful application to Cambridge University where I am currently ranked first in my year. I have won various academic prizes, including the AQA Frampton Prize for the highest score in the country for my History A Level, beating over 21,000 other applicants.
I therefore have extensive experience, both mentoring other students, and in excelling within the academic system on a national level.

Each of my students has a unique lesson plan, geared to meet your particular goals. Once we have decided what you want to achieve, I will do everything I can to help you. I finished my A Levels in 2018 so am familiar with many current courses as well as the university applications process but am more than happy to learn any new or additional content to suit your needs. My lessons are therefore open to anyone willing to put some extra time into their studies. I aim to challenge my students without adding any extra stress; tuition isn't meant to be easy but the key is to move at your own pace and make the content as interesting and accessible as possible. Lucia is one of the most intelligent, passionate and kind people I know. Not only is she academically brilliant - getting the highest grade out of the first year history of art students, she is always lovely and willing to help.
Being her supervision partner last term, I have myself witnessed her enthusiasm, ability to explain things well, and her consistently good feedback from our professor. She is super knowledgible, always researches extensively and dilligently into topics she may not know as well, and is good at explaining things. We often work together in libraries or cafes, and I frequently asked Lucia for help when I could not understand something. She always responded with clarity of understanding and explaination, so I would always end up getting the topic.
If I could get anyone to tutor myself personally, I would choose Lucia!Me and Lucia study at Cambridge together. She is one of the most intelligent people I’ve ever met and easily top of our course.
