About John
Hi there! I am an experienced ESL teacher from Canada and have just moved to Mexico City to work and live here for the next year or so. I have taught ESL for 12 years in Canada and in Istanbul in various capacities from private schools to universities and private one-to-one settings with age groups ranging from 10-50+. I also teach the TOEFL university preparation exam.

I use the communicative method... I am good at assessing a students personal needs and issues, identifying and correcting and setting tangible goals each week. I am relaxed and casual yet can provide structure and targets with a variety of materials and techniques to maximize a student's performance.
